Artist statement
My work emerges as a study of organic shapes intended to explore past memories through jewelry design. I am interested in how our memories are kept in our brain and how we can access them to provide us with insights.
These pieces are a visual representation of memories that keep me connected to my roots. Every shape links memories of my childhood visiting art museums in Caracas-Venezuela with my family. From an early age, I was exposed to a broad range of art that now have a direct influence on the development of my work. By working exclusively with vitreous enamel, and organic shapes, I aim to represent the delicacy and beauty of my memories.
